Adfil microfibres are used as secondary reinforcement in concrete matrices and is added in a rate of 0.5-1 kg/m³ of concrete depending on the application. Typical application areas are in plastic shrinkage reduction, applications such as foundations, floor slabs, precast concrete elements and dry screed, furthermore also in fire resistance with applications mainly in tunnelling. The construction fibres are embedded in the concrete for the entire lifetime of the concrete structure.
